Meredith, N.H : Motorcycle driver seriously injured in Meredith crash on Tuesday, March 29, 2016

The driver of a motorcycle was flown to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with a serious head injury after crashing into a car in Meredith Tuesday.

Police said the driver of a Ford Focus missed the merge from Route 3 to Route 104 just before 6 p.m. Tuesday. When he started to merge into a turn lane at the next intersection, police said he failed to notice a motorcycle in the lane until it was too late.

Police said the driver of the motorcycle was unable to stop and crashed into the Focus. The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet.

The crash was still under investigation Wednesday morning.
