A 41-year-old man was killed Thursday when he crashed his motorcycle into a refrigerator lying in the shoulder of Route 21 near the Ackermann Avenue entrance ramp, police said.
The motorcyclist, whose identity still hasn't been released by police, was traveling north on Route 21 shortly after 4 p.m. on April 14 when his 2008 Yamaha R6 entered the left shoulder and struck a refrigerator, according to a report by the Clifton Police Department's Traffic Division.
Detective Sgt. Robert Bracken said police were still investigating to whom the refrigerator belonged.
The accident investigation shuttered northbound lanes on Route 21 for several hours after the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Clifton Police Department's Traffic Division and the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.
