Thee people were injured Monday morning in a car crash in Odenton, county fire officials said.
At around 7 a.m. firefighters responded to the area of Piney Orchard Parkway and Sandy Walk Way for a report of a motor vehicle accident with trapped occupants, fire officials said.
Firefighters found both vehicles involved in the accident were off the road, and two people were trapped in one of the vehicles, fire officials said.
A 20-year-old woman and a passenger in one of the cars, was pulled from the vehicle in about 20 minutes and was taken by paramedics to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
A 50-year-old woman, the driver of the same car, was extricated by firefighters about 10 minutes later, fire officials said.
She was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to the Shock Trauma center for serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
