Shoshone, ID : Hailey woman injured in crash north of Shoshone on Tuesday, March 7, 2017

A Hailey woman was injured Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash on Idaho 75 about four miles north of Shoshone.

The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. in front of Johnny’s Country Store, Idaho State Police said in a statement. Alcohol is believed to be involved in the crash.

Jose A. Garcia-Duran, 57, of Shoshone was turning out of the roadside store’s parking lot in a 2008 Ford F-150 when he failed to yield to traffic and struck a southbound 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander, ISP said. The driver of the Outlander, 57-year-old Hailey resident Luz C. Carrasco, was injured and taken to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.

Carrasco was treated and released in the emergency department and never admitted to the hospital, a St. Luke’s spokeswoman said.
