Portage Township, OH : Woman flown to hospital after Sunday afternoon crash on I-75 in Wood County, December 21, 2014
A serious crash on Sunday afternoon slowed traffic to a crawl on I-75 in Portage Township in Wood County.
One person had to be taken by air ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries as a result of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Jacob Ramsey, age 25, of Bluffton, was traveling south on I-75 around 3:40 PM when he slowed down to avoid debris in the road.
Mackenzie M. Young, age 18, of Findlay, also traveling south then struck Mr. Ramsey's car, which struck the concrete wall and a car being driven by Kenneth Stoddard, age 54, of Fredericksburg, VA.
Amber Ramsey, age 24, of Bluffton, OH, a passenger in Mr. Ramsey's car, was taken by air ambulance to St. Vincent's Medical Center with serious injuries.
Two passengers in Miss Young's car were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
