Cicero, N.Y : Central NY boy, 16, killed in 3-vehicle crash on I-81 north of Syracuse on Monday, October 3, 2016
Authorities say the person who died after in a three-vehicle crash on a central New York highway was a 16-year-old boy from the Utica area.
State police say 16-year-old Kameron Evans from Whitesboro was driving north on Interstate 81 around 6:30 a.m. Monday when his car crossed the grassy median and collided with a southbound vehicle in the Onondaga County town of Cicero, just north of Syracuse.
Evans’ car was then hit by a van.
A front-seat passenger in his car, Sean Jewett of Whitesboro, was taken to a Syracuse hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Evans was listed in critical condition. The driver of the other car was listed in stable condition.
