Racine,WI : Man seriously hurt in bike crash on June, Saturday 10th 2017

A 71-year-old man riding a bicycle was seriously injured Saturday evening after being struck by a vehicle, Racine police report.

At 10:23 p.m. Saturday, police and rescue crews responded to the 200 block of Racine Street regarding a bicyclist being stuck, according to Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Adam Malacara.

Police said initial investigation showed that the man was riding a bicycle east on 21st Street when he was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Racine Street. The man was initially transported to Ascension All Saints Hospital, and later was moved to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

The man's injuries are considered serious, and there was no update on his condition as of Monday morning, Malacara said.
