Cincinnati, OH : 36-year-old man died in crash on Columbia Parkway Thursday morning, May 5, 2016
Police identified a 36-year-old man who died in an accident on Columbia Parkway Thursday morning as Timothy Moore.
Cincinnati police closed the roadway for several hours while investigating, during which they found Moore was not wearing a seat belt. Erin Kendall, 33, and Douglas Johnson, 74, were also injured in the crash, police said.
Columbia Parkway has since reopened.
Moore was driving west on Columbia Parkway in a '93 Honda Accord when he crossed the center line into eastbound traffic, according to a release. He struck Kendall's '14 Ford Focus, which then was hit by Johnson's '01 Ford E250.
Officials got Moore out of his car and took him to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Kendall was also taken to UCMC with serious injuries, but is now in stable condition. Johnson's injuries were minor.
The investigation is ongoing, but speed does not appear to be a factor. Police do not know if any driver was impaired.
