Boone County , NE : Five people including of Two Children were Hospitalized afterhead-on crash in Boone County on tuesday Morning , January 13th 2015

Five people -- including two children -- were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Boone County on Tuesday morning, a fire official said.

When firefighters arrived on Triple Crown Boulevard, just before it intersects with Omaha Trace, they found two adults trapped in one of the vehicles, said Michael Morgan, chief of the Union Fire Protection District.

Authorities removed the door hinges on the vehicle to get them out, Morgan said.

All of the people taken to the hospital suffered injuries not considered life-threatening, the chief said.

The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. It remains under investigation

Morgan was not sure how old the children were.
