ATTLEBORO, MA : 1 lane on I-95 north in Attleboro reopened following serious crash on Friday, 22nd February 2019

State police are investigating a major crash on I-95 in Attleboro early Friday morning that that left nine people injured, some seriously, and created a miles-long traffic jam during the rush-hour commute.

A preliminary investigation suggests that at about 6:20 a.m., a 29-year-old Roslindale woman driving southbound in a 2010 Toyota Corolla struck a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, causing both vehicles to veer across the median and hit six other northbound cars, state police said.

The driver of Corolla and her passenger, a 25-year-old Brockton woman, were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
