ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH : Anderson Township HamCo deputy in critical condition after crash on Thursday, 8th October, 2020

A Hamilton County Sheriff's deputy, 19-year veteran Corporal Adam McMillan, was seriously injured in a crash with a Metro bus and multiple other vehicles at the intersection of Eight Mile Road and Beechmont Avenue Thursday evening.

"It's very difficult," said chief deputy Mark Schoonover. "The sheriff's office is a big family and when one of our deputies gets injured like this it's painful for everyone in the agency."

McMillan, who was breathing under his own power but unresponsive, was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center Thursday evening, according to Sheriff's spokesperson David Daugherty. He is currently in critical condition in the intensive care unit with severe head trauma, Chief Deputy Mark Schoonover said.
