PANAMA CITY, FL : 2 killed, 5 critical in midnight wreck on Friday, 16th September 2016
Two men were killed and five people critically injured in a collision just before midnight Friday at John Pitts Road and Pine Tree Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to an FHP report, Cody Austin Shirah, 21, of Panama City, was traveling south on Pine Tree Road and failed to stop at a stop sign, driving his Ford F-150 into the right side of a Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Craig A. Jackson, 31, of London Ohio. The F-150 then drove into a utility pole.
Both drivers were critically injured in the collision. Also critically injured were Shirah’s passenger, Kristun Nichole Tullier, 21, of Panama City, and Jackson’s passengers Joshua Martin, 33, of Columbus, Ohio, and William M. Gouge II, 29, also of Columbus.
Two other passengers in Jackson’s van, Anthony A. Gouge, 30, of Columbus, and Eric Anthony Young, 25, of Chillicothe, Ohio, were killed in the collision.Everyone but Shirah was wearing a seat belt, FHP reported, and it us unknown whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
