Xenia Twp, OH : Five people injured in a rollover crash on Brush Row Road in Xenia Twp on Sunday, February 8, 2015
The Ohio Highway Patrol says one woman was ejected and four other passengers injured in an early morning rollover crash in Xenia Twp.
According to a release, Octavia K. Carter, 20, of Columbus, drove off the right side of Brush Row Road near Stevenson Road before striking a guardrail around 3 a.m. Sunday. After striking the guardrail, troopers say the car went back across the road, rolled over and struck a tree.
Carter was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. Carter was taken to Miami Valley Hospital after suffering serious injuries, but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The four passengers were identified as Tykia Anderson, 20, of Chicago; Tamika Carter, 21, of Wilberforce, Ohio; Elizabeth McNarr, 21, of Temple Hills, Maryland; and Stephon Hopkins, 18, of Detroit. All four passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Greene Memorial Hospital, troopers said.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
