Whiteville, LA : Baton Rouge man died in a Head-on crash on LA 182 in Lafourche Parish on Sunday, Nov 15, 2015

Louisiana State Police say a fatal accident killed a Baton Rouge man in Lafourche Parish on LA 182.

Troopers say it happened Sunday shortly after 4 P.M. when the car the man from Baton Rouge was driving was hit head on by another car.

An investigation revealed that a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro traveling east, driven by Ernest Harris of Bridge City, crossed the centerline to pass another car in a no passing zone.

That is when Harris hit a 2013 Nissan Altima traveling west on LA 182 head on.

The driver of the Altima, Fred Walker of Baton Rouge, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Harris was not wearing his seat belt and that he was ejected from the car.

Harris was transported to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
