Clifton Park, NY : One person Dead, five Injured When Tractor-Trailer, Minivan Collide On I-87 in Saratoga County on Sunday morning, March 29, 2015

State police say one person has died and five others are being treated at Albany Medical Center for injuries after a tractor-trailer plowed into a minivan that had slowed or stopped with a flat tire on Interstate 87, the Adirondack Northway, in Saratoga County.

Police say the accident happened around 6:30 a.m. Sunday between exits 10 and 11 southbound in the town of Clifton Park. The Minivan was a 2000 Dodge Caravan with six occupants, all from the Bronx. It was struck from behind by an International tractor-trailer driven by a person from Corinth. No names have been released.

Troopers say the Caravan was either stopped or driving very slowly in the right lane when the truck driver failed to see it and ran into it.
