HESPERIA, CA : Mariposa Road crash in Hesperia sends one person to hospital near the intersection with Live Oak Street on Thursday, 30th January, 2020

One person was sent to the hospital after a crash here that shut down part of Mariposa Road on Thursday night.

The crash occurred at about 5:45 p.m. near the intersection with Live Oak Street.

A Toyota Prius and a pickup truck were involved, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Jodi Miller said.

The driver of the Prius was injured. Miller did not specify the extent of the driver’s injuries, but they appeared to be major, per scanner traffic.

Firefighters first requested an air ambulance to respond, but the driver was later taken by to a hospital by ground ambulance.

Miller did not say if the driver of the truck was injured.
