Texarkana, AR : One person dies in collision on interstate 30 near Mandeville on Friday, June 17, 2016

One person is dead and another wounded in a rear-end collision on Interstate 30 at Interstate 49, near Mandeville, Ark., said Cpl. Les Munn, with Arkansas-side police.

About 6:30 p.m. Friday, a full-size white work van rear-ended a black Buick at the interchange of I-30 and I-49 near the Mandeville exit. Arkansas-side firefighters and police worked together to clear the roadway and direct traffic while investigating the accident scene.
The collision was still under investigation at presstime Friday.

It is unknown how many occupants were involved and whether or not the deceased was driving the Buick.
