Peoria, IL : Motorcycle wreck in Peoria Heights on Thursday, August 17, 2017

In Peoria Heights, the morning began with the southbound lanes of Illinois Route 29 closed at Gardner Lane because of a motorcycle accident. Also known as Galena Road, that stretch of Route 29 was blocked from about 2 a.m. until about 6:30 a.m.

As of about 7 a.m., no details were available. A Peoria Heights police officer said more information is to be forthcoming later this morning.

When Nick in the Morning visited the Galena-Gardner intersection just before 6:30, everything appeared normal.
