Lancaster, S.C : Two died in a single-vehicle crash in Lancaster County on Saturday, December 27, 2014

The victims of a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Lancaster County, S.C., have been identified as Libby Hopkins, 20, and Zachary Lingle, 22, both of Fort Lawn, S.C.

The two died in a crash on Riverside Drive in Lancaster at about 10:40 a.m. Saturday.

Medics rushed a 2-year-old boy to an area hospital but pronounced Hopkins and Lingle dead at the scene. Hopkins was the boy’s mother.

Hopkins was driving north on Riverside Drive when she lost control of the car, ran off the right side of the road and struck a culvert, according to investigators.

The impact caused the car to flip onto its top.

Investigators said that neither Hopkins nor Lingle wore seat belts. The (Rock Hill) Herald
