Glendale ,AZ : 19-year-old Monica Soto killed after car crashes into concrete barriers on Sunday night ,April 19 2015

A 19-year-old Avondale woman was killed when the car in which she was riding crashed into concrete barriers and rolled in a Glendale park late Sunday night.

Monica Soto was riding in the car with two other people going west on Maryland Avenue about 11:30 p.m. when the car veered into oncoming traffic, onto a curb and into a park at 47th Avenue, said Tracey Breeden of the Glendale Police Department.

The car then struck the barriers, rolled and landed upright, Breeden said.

The other two occupants were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
