A Geneva College soccer player has been killed in a crash on an icy western Pennsylvania road.
Police say freshman Nate Ferraco and three other students were returning from an indoor soccer league game when they crashed Saturday night. The game was not school-related.
The accident happened near Evans City, Butler County, as the students were returning to the private, Christian college in Beaver Falls.
Ferraco, a graduate of Penn Hills High School near Pittsburgh, was an engineering student and a varsity soccer player.
The school created a memorial page for Ferraco on its website, and notified students of his death on Sunday.
Two other Geneva soccer players in the car were treated and released for their injuries. A fourth teammate wasn't hurt.
