PELHAM, NH : 3 people suffer serious injuries in head-on crash in Pelham on Saturday, 6th March 2021
Three people suffered serious injuries — including two young adults from Pelham — following a head-on crash on Bridge Street in Pelham shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police arrived at the scene of the violent wreck at around 7:30 p.m. to find two vehicles, a Honda Fit and a Volkswagen Jetta, with “extensive damage” and blocking both lanes of travel, according to a Pelham Police Department press release.
The operator of the Volkswagen, 18-year-old Jacen Boyden, and 20-year-old passenger, Emmy Bedard, both of Pelham, were transported by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital, police said. The woman driving the Honda, 32-year-old Maura Oray, of Winchester, was flown by medical helicopter to Tufts Hospital in Boston.
Police did not provide details about the injuries beyond describing them as serious.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Bridge Street was shut down for about one hour while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
