A central New York man is dead following a motorcycle crash in the town of Camillus Saturday.
According to the New York State Police, the accident occurred at 11:45 a.m. on Route 174. A 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Mark D. Edmonds, 67, of Marietta, was traveling northbound with other motorcycles when he drove off the east shoulder of the road and hit a guardrail.
Edmonds was ejected from the motorcycle. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.
The investigation is continuing.
