A customer's car came crashing into a D.C. grocery store late Friday morning, injuring two people and prompting an evacuation of the building.
The mishap occurred at the Giant Food store in the 4300 block of Connecticut Avenue NW.
Authorities said the car was in an underground parking garage attached to the store when it came crashing into the building for an unknown reason.
Firefighters said they removed two people from inside the vehicle; both were taken to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
There were no reports of anyone inside the store being injured.
