Billings, MT : North Dakota man dies in collision near Lame Deer on Sunday, July 31, 2016
A North Dakota man died Sunday following a two-vehicle crash near Lame Deer. Alcohol and drugs are suspected factors in the collision, according to Montana Highway Patrol.
At about 7 p.m., MHP responded to the wreck on US Highway 212 near mile marker 50, MHP dispatch said.
A 31-year-old man from Fort Yates, N.D., had been driving a Dodge Avenger west when the crash occurred. The man attempted a U-turn and was T-boned by a westbound Dodge Ram pickup driven by a 28-year-old man from Forrest City, Arkansas. Both vehicles came to rest on the north side of the highway.
The driver of the Avenger was wearing a seat belt. He was taken to Northern Cheyenne Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation by Montana Highway Patrol.
