Richmond, VA : Three killed in crash on Route 288 in Goochland County on Thursday, 28th June 2018

Three people were killed Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash along southbound Route 288 in Goochland County, authorities said Thursday.

Virginia State Police responded at 9:02 p.m. to the wreck at Route 288 and West Creek Parkway.

A sedan had pulled over in the left lane and shoulder after being involved in a crash with an animal, and a southbound Audi crossover vehicle struck three people who were standing outside, said state police Sgt. Keeli Hill.

All three people died at the scene. The driver of the Audi declined medical attention.
