Fort Wayne, IN : Driver critical after crashing into dump truck on Hillegas Road between Illinois and Bass in Fort Wayne on Monday morning, Oct 26, 2015

Hillegas Road between Illinois and Bass in Fort Wayne was closed Monday morning following a traffic accident involving a car and two dump trucks.

The driver of a Ford Crown Victoria was northbound on Hillegas at approximately 7:11 a.m. when for an unknown reason the car veered into the southbound lane and struck a dump truck. A second dump truck following the first one then ran over the front of the car according to information from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.

The driver of the car, a woman who has yet to be identified, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in critical condition. Neither of the two dump truck drivers was injured.
