OTTUMWA, IA : 2-year-old child dies in Ottumwa driveway accident at the 1300 block of North Elm Street on Wednesday, 30th September, 2020

The Ottumwa Police Department said a 2-year-old child died in an accident Wednesday morning.

The Ottumwa Courier reports police were called to the 1300 block of North Elm Street at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.An incident report indicates the 2-year-old child was in front of a pickup when she was run over as it was pulling out of the driveway.

She was taken to local hospital, where she died from her injuries, the newspaper reports.

No charges have been filed in the incident.
