Columbus, OH : Patrol IDs man killed in Licking County wreck on Wednesday, March 22nd 2017

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal Licking County crash Wednesday as 31-year-old Thomas Hagley, of Newark.

The crash occurred just after 4 p.m. Wednesday in Licking County's McKean Township, according to the State Highway Patrol.

Hagley was driving a 2001 Saturn westbound on Dutch Lane Road Northeast when he pulled out in front of a semi traveling northbound on Route 661, the patrol said.

The truck struck Hagley's vehicle in the driver's door before both vehicles came to rest in the southbound lane of 661.

Hagley was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, Ralph Segner, 61, of Mount Vernon, was evaluated by medics at the scene but was not injured.

Both men were wearing seatbelts, the patrol said. The crash remains under investigation.
