A Perkins man was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle occurred near Southard in Blaine County, Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting.
The collision occurred at 9:16 a.m. on Oklalhoma 51-A at Southard blacktop, half a mile west of Southard, according to an OHP report. Bryan Sterling Kelley, 43, of Perkins, was taken from the scene of the collision by Longdale EMS to St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid and was admitted in stable condition with a head injury.
Kelley was northbound on Oklahoma 51-A in a 2004 International. Caleb Carson Fergerson, 24, of Coweta, was driving a 2001 International north on the highway, according to the report. Fergerson stopped for a stop sign and was rear-ended by Kelley. Kelley lost control, left the road to the right and struck some high-line poles.
Fergerson, and his passenger, William Joseph Nelson III, 36, of Carney, were uninjured.
Both Fergerson and Kelley's conditions are listed as "apparently normal" and the cause of the collision is listed as "inattention."
