PARKERS PRAIRIE, MN : 74-year-old Spring Lake Park man seriously hurt in Otter Tail crash on County Road 42 near Horsehead Lake Road on Thursday, 1st August 2019

Alcohol was detected in the driver of a car who was seriously hurt when he ran off the road and hit a pole near here early Thursday morning.

The accident happened about 8 a.m. on County Road 42 near Horsehead Lake Road, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Raymond Iverson, 74, of Spring Lake Park, Minn., was westbound on Otter Tail County Road 42 when he ran off the road, hit a power pole and drove back out of the ditch, the patrol stated in a release.

A trooper found Iverson's car disabled at the intersection of Highway 29 and County Road 6.

Iverson was taken to the hospital in St. Cloud to be treated for serious injuries.


His condition has not yet been released.
