St. Cloud, Fla : Search continues for hit-and-run driver who left homeless man critical condition Sunday night, a day after he was struck by the vehicle in St. Cloud on April 28th 2014

Investigators in St. Cloud said they are trying to track down the driver who hit a homeless man and left him on the side of the road.

The 40-year-old homeless man remains in critical condition Sunday night, a day after he was struck by the vehicle in St. Cloud.

St. Cloud police said they worked through the night to try to identify the driver responsible for the hit-and-run crash, which happened shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday near Canoe Creek Road and Camelot Boulevard.

The victim was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Police said the vehicle they’re searching for should have visible damage to its front-end or right-side door.

"No matter how small or insignificant you think that information is, it could be extremely beneficial to the detectives working that case, because at this point, we just don't have any leads at all," said Officer Diara Wesler of the St. Cloud Police Department.
