Danvers,MA : Hampton man killed in crash on I-95 on August, Tuesday 1st 2017

Massachusetts State Police are investigating a fatal crash early Tuesday in Danvers, Mass. that took the life of a Hampton man.

State Police were called to the single motor vehicle crash at around 1:15 a.m. on Interstate 95 in Danvers, near Exit 49.

The driver, who police have identified as Jonathan Ristau, 39, of Hampton, was traveling on Route 95 North when the car — for reasons still under investigation — traveled into the right travel lane. The car struck the guardrail, causing the vehicle to roll over.

Ristau was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries from the crash, according to police.

In addition to state troopers and crime scene services, Danvers police, Beverly police, Danvers Fire and EMS, the Officer of the State Medical Examiner, and MassDOT, assisted at the scene of the accident.
