PHOENIX, AZ : Alleged DUI driver reportedly ran red light before crash in north Phoenix on Wednesday, 3rd July 2024

Police say a driver is accused of running a red light, causing a crash that left several people hurt in north Phoenix late Wednesday night.

According to Phoenix Fire, emergency crews were called around 10 p.m. to 35th Avenue and Beardsley Road, off the Loop 101, for reports of a crash.

When firefighters arrived, they found three cars involved, with one on fire. A man inside the burning car had to be rescued and pulled out by first responders.

Three victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. One officers was also taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation but later released.
