Los Angeles, CA : LA police chase ends in car crash on Wednesday, January 7, 2015

A police chase has ended with a crash in downtown Los Angeles that left a car on a sidewalk and at least two people injured.

Officer Jane Kim says officers began chasing a gray Saturn shortly before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The five-minute pursuit began on Manchester Boulevard, continued onto the Interstate 110 freeway and ended at a Figueroa Street intersection when the fleeing car collided with an SUV and then stopped on the sidewalk.

Firefighters treated at least two people at the scene.

Police and fire officials didn't confirm the number of injuries but police say the driver of the SUV was treated.

Authorities also say the injuries aren't life-threatening.
