MEMPHIS, MO : Baring man injured in crash south of Memphis on Wednesday, 16th January 2019
A Baring man was seriously injured in a Wednesday morning crash south of Memphis.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 2005 Freightliner driven by John M. Tarpein, 66, was traveling north on Mo. 15, 5 miles south of Memphis, at 6:45 a.m. The patrol said the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.
Tarpein, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, then later transferred to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., with serious injuries.
The patrol was assisted by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Scotland County Sheriff's Department and Scotland County Fire Department.
