SUMMIT COUNTY, OH : 2 people killed, 2 others injured in crash on Tuesday, 16th March 2021

Two people are dead and two others are hospitalized after a vehicle involved in a pursuit with the Ohio State Highway Patrol crashed and overturned in Boston Township.

On Tuesday, troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a vehicle that was traveling at a speed of 94 mph on the Ohio Turnpike in the Lordstown area.

Troopers pursued the vehicle up to a construction zone before terminating the chase.

Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle again when it left the construction zone. Troopers pursued the vehicle where it exited at State Route 8 southbound to Boston Mills Road.

A supervisor terminated the pursuit again due to the terrain in the area, according to OSHP.

Eventually, troopers met up with the vehicle which was found to have veered off the left side of the road and hit a guardrail and overturned.
