COVENTRY, RI : Driver crashes into Coventry bedroom on Thursday, 20th September 2018

A vehicle crashed into an apartment building in Coventry, going through a wall and ending up several feet into a bedroom afternoon.

The 58-year-old driver, a Coventry resident, was trapped in the vehicle after crashing into 210 Woodland Drive, police say. The driver was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for injuries that aren’t deemed life threatening. Police say the accident may have been caused by a medical issue with the driver.

The resident of the apartment was not home at the time, police say. The building inspector said the rest of the complex is safe.
