Holmes County, FL : Shirley Anna Fowler, 79, died and Two people injured in a collision on Interstate 10 near Caryville on Sunday morning, July 3, 2016

Two people were injured and one killed Sunday morning in a collision on Interstate 10 near Caryville in Holmes County.

Brenda Hibbitts Reynolds, 70, of DeFuniak Springs, was driving west on the interstate about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. While Reynolds tried to change lanes, her car collided with the front end of a vehicle being driven by Teresa Ann Jensen, of Bonifay, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol. Reynolds' vehicle spun off the highway and into a tree before coming to rest. Jensen's car rotated but came to rest on the highway.

Reynolds sustained serious injuries in the crash, and Jensen sustained minor injuries. Reynolds' passenger, Shirley Anna Fowler, 79, of Bonifay, was pronounced dead on scene.

Charges are pending.
