Montague, MA : Two people dead in crash involving a tractor-trailer and car in Franklin County on Monday morning, February 22, 2016

Police say two people have died in an early morning crash in Montague involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger car.

Chief Chip Dodge says the accident occurred at about 5:15 a.m. Monday on Route 63 just outside Millers Falls.

The northbound tractor trailer collided with a southbound sedan, killing a man and woman in the front seat of the car. The truck driver was unhurt.

The road was shut down during the investigation.

No names were released.
