GREENWICH, CT : Arrest on DWI at Stop and Shop on Thursday, December, 28th 2017

Police responded to a report of an accident at the Stop and Shop parking lot at West Putnam Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Officers said a motorist was backing out of a space and hit a store employee, knocking him down. He was taken to Greenwich Hospital for evaluation.

Caitlin Brown, 41, of Connecticut Avenue, was charged with driving while intoxicated. She attempted to discard a wine bottle when police arrived, according to the arrest report, and she was also charged with tampering with physical evidence.

Bail was set at $250.
