A police chase ended with a crash Wednesday afternoon.

The chase ended near SW 53rd and Douglas in Oklahoma City after the truck crashed in a neighborhood, hitting an SUV with a family inside.

The driver is in custody. Police said an expired tag was the reason for the traffic stop at 38th and Blackwelder, but the driver took off.

Police said they had stopped the pursuit because speeds became too dangerous, but shortly after that, the truck was involved in the crash.

The driver is facing complaints of eluding. Police did not say if anyone inside the SUV was hurt
