Shreveport, LA : 35-year-old man was dead when his car was hit by a pickup truct along Interstate 95 on early Sunday morning October 5th 2014

Shreveport police are looking into what led to the death of 35-year-old Elton Bernard Anderson, who was killed after he was ejected from his car on Interstate 49. The accident happened early Sunday morning. Investigators say Anderson was southbound when his car hit a pickup driven by 56-year-old Roger James. Police say Anderson was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Anderson was thrown over the interstate barrier, landing nearly 30 feet below. Police say Anderson was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Police are awaiting results of standard toxicology tests.
