Fatal crash closes Pennsylvania highway for six hours

A Western Pennsylvania man was killed in a two-vehicle crash that shut down a major highway for more than six hours.
State police say the accident occurred at 1:36 a.m. Sunday in Kittanning. That’s about 40 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
Armstrong Deputy Coroner Brian K. Myers identified the deceased man as 37-year-old Terry R. McClafferty of Ford City. Myers says McClafferty was westbound on Route 422 when his Dodge pickup was hit head on by a Ford pickup that was eastbound.The driver of the Ford pickup was identified by police as 23-year-old Jonathon Brandon Miller. Miller’s vehicle allegedly crossed the double yellow lines of the highway into oncoming traffic. His condition was not immediately available.Police are waiting for lab results. The highway reopened at about 8 a.m.
