Virginia State Police investigate fatal two-car crash

One man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Stafford County Thursday afternoon. Virginia State Police said two pickup trucks collided on Route 17 near Stafford Lakes Parkway around 4:35 p.m. Witnesses told police that one of the trucks, a 1999 Ford F-350, was traveling north on Route 17 when it suddenly picked up speed and crossed into the southbound lanes.
