Albuquerque, N.M : Woman killed in single-vehicle crash on I-25 near Broadway Boulevard on Saturday, August 6, 2016

A woman is dead after the vehicle she was riding in crashed on a highway in Albuquerque.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department responded Saturday shortly after 1 a.m. to a crash on Interstate 25 near Broadway Boulevard.

According to deputies, the 60-year-old driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve.

She lost control of her vehicle and a female passenger was ejected.

The passenger died at the scene.

Deputies do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.

They did not release the passenger’s identity or comment on the condition of the driver.
