St. Paul, MN : One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 94 on Sunday,15th April 2018
One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 94 at Lowry Avenue in Minneapolis on Sunday night.
The crash occurred about 5:45 p.m. on eastbound I-94 when the driver of a Prius lost traction and spun out in front of a Metro Transit bus, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The bus, which only contained the driver, broadsided the Prius. The right-front passenger in the Prius was killed. Two other occupants of the car were taken to North Memorial Hospital.
At least 18 other injury accidents have been reported by State Patrol since the first snow fall on Friday.
One other fatality occurred at 9:10 p.m. Friday when the driver of a Nissan Rogue struck a pedestrian at westbound Highway 55 and Pinto Drive, according to the state patrol. The pedestrian was identified as Paul Michael Piekarski, 54, of Hamel, Minn.
No further details were available Sunday night about the I-94 crash or victims.
