West Springfield, MA : Moped operator has died after crashing into a utility pole on Monday morning October 6th 2014

Police say a moped operator has died after crashing into a utility pole in West Springfield. The crash on Union Street was reported just after 11 a.m. Monday. The male rider struck a pole after apparently losing control. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with serious injuries where he was pronounced dead.
