Belding,MI : Belding man killed in motorcycle crash on September, Saturday 9th 2017

A 52-year-old Belding man died early Saturday night in a car crash on Long Lake Road near Hock Road in Ionia County’s Otisco Township.

It appears that Michael Warner was driving a motorcycle east on Long Lake Road at 6:30 p.m. when it ran off the roadway and struck several small saplings and a traffic sign, according to state police from the Lakeview post.

Warner died at the scene and his 55-year-old passenger, a Belding woman, was flown by Aeromed to Spectrum Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids for treatment of critical injuries, police said.

A Michigan State Police 6th District traffic crash reconstructionist and Lakeview post accident investigators were on scene to investigate the crash.


It remains under investigation.

Belding fire and police departments, Life EMS Ambulance, and Reed and Hoppes Towing assisted at the scene.
