Lovell, WY : Driver escapes serious injury tanker crashes Tuesday about 25 miles east of Lovell on September 9, 2014
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a tanker hauling 5,500 gallons of latex crashed Tuesday on U.S. 14A.
However, the truck driver escaped serious injury and crews were able to keep the latex from reaching nearby water.
The accident occurred about 7:50 a.m. Tuesday about 25 miles east of Lovell.
The patrol says the truck was on a 10 percent downgrade and was traveling too fast on a curved section of the highway.
Troopers on scene were investigating brake failure as the contributing factor in the crash.
The crash closed one lane of the highway.
